Nah, but some of us don't have enough hard drive space for both. :) If you
do, you can still run all of your KDE apps under GNOME and GNOME apps under
KDE.

Another way of doing it is choosing different sessions in KDM or GDM if you
use them. It's a nice and quick way to switch whilst you're logging in.
