i just can't sit and just look.. this is what i have to say (as a year 11/12 young, and stupid at the same time, person)
uni will always open doors for you while just some experience working for some company may not do the same. it doesn't matter if you like or dislike what you do, as long as you get the money (on thursday as we found out.. ), in my opinion, because, as some other great inventions of the human kind, money is the only thing that counts, right? just because (we)/all yous have a job and get a nice pay cheque, doesn't mean that everyone is the same, and certainly doesn't mean that everyone is happy on thurdays... some others, like my dad for example, do not find it so easy to integrate in the new age technology blah blah.. etc etc.. i'm sure u get the point... but, i think uni is very important, and i am happy that some of you gave us, the newbies/young ones, some insights of your uni years.. =) with a comment like the one i heard about not going to uni because it may be a waste of time.. well, i'm just disgusted.. how can you expect to have a broader mind opening and learn about our culture and other things, if you don't go and learn/use the uni dudes that are there for you... remember, to learn by yourself is not that easy... because you are not paying the $$$ and because we are lazy (human)! i didn't mean to flame/kill/make fun of/etc anyone, it's just my opinion.. =) hope you enjoy what some of the 'next leaders of the world' think... yes/no? OT over... =) best regards, SMB -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
