I'm afraid it's not that simple anymore. I've got 15 years industry experience - and the MSc I'll be able to tack onto my business cards by the middle of next year will mean more, to most employers/contractees than all of them put together. They're not interested in the degree, per-se. They're interested in the fact that you had the endurance/gusto/nerve to sit down and get it in the first place.
