Guys, <html> <head> <body> <soapbox asbestos_suit="on"> I'm getting rather sick of idiots posting to a _Linux_ mailing list using broken mailers like Outlook. I'm getting even sicker of those who send emails out with both a plain text, and HTML version. If the plain-text message wasn't bad enough, the HTML version sure was. It also increased the number of lines I've had to scroll through * 3 + some for headers and HTML fluffiness + some for the MIME-encoding lines + some for html-encoding the mime-encoding lines...
What's really gotten my sickness boiling over is that people insist on replying to these idiots, and include the entire email verbatim, including the HTML portion! Now I'm seeing messages with huge embedded CSS style sheets in them! </soapbox> *pulls hair out* <soapbox asbestos_suit="on"> Please, read the email-writing-HOWTO before writing an email to a list like SLUG. </soapbox> </body> </html> -- Rebecca Richards, CCSA CCSE, Unix/Security Consultant, e-Secure Pty Ltd "Secure in a Networked World" Phone: (02) 9438 4984 Fax: (02) 9438 4986 Suite 201, 2-4 Pacific Highway Mobile: 0412 823 206 St Leonards NSW Australia Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ACN 068 798 194 http://www.e-secure.com.au -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
