hmmm so maybe a net install isn't as hard as I imagined (compared to
solaris jumpstart setting up thereof).

Trouble is I really want the cd install to work - if there's a problem later
and I can't boot off the disk (for some reason) I don't want to go through
all this again I want to be able to pop in the cd and go.

After more poking around I've noticed the md5sum on the iso I got before is
different to that listed on the website. I'm assuming md5sums are supposed
to be calculated the same on any machine and so should match...

I did an ftp reget in case it was different but there was no change.
Can I not do a sort of remote binary diff (via ftp or http)?
will rsync/wget just get the diffs? (assuming there is any)

Dave.
