Hi all,
I have a RH7 server running two main applications`- AUC and IRM. AUC is our
intranet setup and is working very well, it incorporates it's own IMAP
server but I believe it sends via Sendmail (certainly if I screw up Sendmail
the mail stops going out!). IRM is what we are doing for a Helpdesk App and
it is very good also, except the email. When a job is entered or modified it
sends an email to the appropriate people, this worked well on the trial
server, however now it is on it's permanent home I am getting Mail Failures,
below is the information from one such email. The server is called vortex
and the domain vortex.olmc.nsw.edu.au is correct and is handled by our ISP.
However notice that this app sends the mail from
vortex.vortex.olmc.nsw.edu.au. I can find nowhere in IRM that this is set.
Does anyone have any idea as to what might be causing this behaviour? I even
tried sending the mail via another server and using DOmain Masquerading on
that server but it didn't work. postoffice .remex.com.au is our ISP. (Real
good guys and not only LINUX aware but big users). Have changed the users
realname to 'user'
