HOSTNAME+DOMAINNAME = Fully Qualified Host Name vortex + vortex.olmc.nsw.edu.au = vortex.vortex.olmc.nsw.edu.au should it really be this: ? HOSTNAME+DOMAINNAME = Fully Qualified Host Name vortex + olmc.nsw.edu.au = vortex.olmc.nsw.edu.au i.e. it sounds like your domain name is misconfigured.
