Dear David,

I have removed wvdial and configured pppconfig.

Again I dial-in and get an IP but I still can not ping.

Here is my ifconfig ppp0 output

ppp0    Link encap: Point-to-Point Protocol
        inet addr: 210.50.72.21 P-t-P 192.168.34.5  Mask 255.255.255.255
        UP POINTTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MULTICAST  MTU:1500 Metric:1

/etc/network/interface

auto
