I'd guess from the K symbol go to the system or utilities menu and look 
for 'shell' or 'xterm' or 'term' or something like that.

Once you have a command prompt (aka terminal window, command shell), if
you have the DOS emulator installed you should be able to type 'dos' or
'xdos' to start up a copy of DOS or FreeDOS. If you haven't configured the
DOS emulator you could first try 'su -' and enter root's password then try
'dos' or 'xdos'.
