It doesn't create an icon on the desktop, so that when you click on it,
it launches the application. There is an icon there, but properties
labels it as something.desktop.
Erm, maybe it is solved - if I then edit the properties:permissions
panel and set the user execute bit, it will run the app on a double
click and Iv'e found right click:edit will pop a terminal window with
gnome entries. Weird - perhaps I've regressed to that OS mannerisms.
