Sorry, my misunderstanding.  I thought you were providing a solution to
the problem, but now that I've read your original message again, I
realise that I'd misinterpreted your meaning.

True, but what's the point of signing a message to a list if most, if
not all, of the recipients don't have and aren't able to get your key? 

I'm simply suggesting that if we're going to encourage signed email, we
should also encourage making the public key easily available, and my
preferred (and IMO the easiest) method is downloading from a keyserver.
