We've had good success here using a Nikon Coolscan, excapt that the
Linux driver doesn't (yet) support the auto-negcative feeder.  You can
scan at sufficient resolution (2700 dpi) to blow up to A4 size with
reasonable results.  It's still not quite as good (even with a
half-decent printer) as a blowup using wet-chemical methods.
