Hi! ya,

I have a Linux question.
I am running

Linux localhost.localdomain 2.4.7-10 #1 Thu Sep 6 16:46:36 EDT 2001 i686

I have a peculiar problem:

My machine does not allow any type of connection telnet.

I can't even connect to localhost(127.0.0.1)

Never mind connections comming outside.

It is connected over ADSL.

But I can ftp any site outside my box.

It's just my box does not allow any connections.

This is some security issue.
but I have disabled all firewall rules.
Have you encountered this?

This prevents me testing my nameserver that I am trying to run on it.

Any help is appreciated , I am on a tight schedule here.

thanks,
