Hi Trevor, My setup is Win 98 & RH7.2. At the moment I've only established file sharing using samba. The reference I used was the APC Mag The Linux Pocketbook 3rd Edition. My next step is to establish a shared internet connection. The reference I'm using for networking is: Linux Networking HOWTO - Doc Book Rev .02 Joshua Drake c2000. You can download this file. I'd send it to you but I'm not sure where it is filed (sorry). For PPP I'm using Linux PPP HOWTO Joshua Drake c 2000. Re Samba If you are going to use samba e-mail me back I can fill you in on what I've done to date. Its not much as I'm feeling my way too but I can send you my smb.conf file. If you don't want to use file sharing etc you can run the router off a floppy. You can download the file from Linux Router Project (ftp://ftphost.manawatu.gen.nz/pub/linux/linux-router). I haven't used it but heard that it is good. Maybe other SLUG members could advise you about this.
