There is good support, both 2D and 3D for the 7500 mobility chipsets, but it
will require updating the X server version to 4.2 and possibly the DRI
kernel modules and libraries, as the support is quite recent.

(DRI stands for Direct Rendering Infrastructure, and is the portion of X
which provides accelerated 3D graphics. Check http://dri.sf.net for more
information on it)
