Hi All, I have just upgraded my kernel to 2.4.18 and my network card/networking no longer works. If I run ifconfig, i get my card with my IP address, if I run route -n I get everything that should be there, if I look in /etc/network/interfaces I have my network card setup with the apporpriate info, and if I run lsmod I can see my cards module driver there.....and yet it still doesn work.
My card is an eepro100 which I have been told doesn work very well, and that I should install the e100 module, which I have but I get the following error when I try and install it: Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including inva lid IO or IRQ parameters /lib/modules/2.4.18-686/kernel/net/e100.o: init_module: No such device /lib/modules/2.4.18-686/kernel/net/e100.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.18-686/kernel /net/e100.o failed /lib/modules/2.4.18-686/kernel/net/e100.o: insmod e100 failed I am able to ping both my IP address and the Loopback address.... Any help would be appreciated, Adam. -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
