hi people, this might seem like a really stupid question but i'll ask anyway (coz i'm stupid).
Is there anyway I could compile something for a sparc platform on an intel platform?? i only ask because I have a sun machine which unfortunatly the hard disk may be unhealthy so i have no o/s on it. I'm really hoping to put together a bootable cd-rom which would boot linux for sparc, and then that cd-rom would initialise ram disks and stuff like that so that i can still run an os on the sparc machine without the need for the hard disk... anyway, I have no way of putting this cd-rom together unless i can compile the programs for the cd-rom for a sparc platform... i figured there would be no way of doing it but i thought i should confirm it. any ideas anyone? thanks. -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
