Hello

Ive actually tried openoffice.org in production and yes it will handle
"SOME" word and excel files but it wont work with anything complicated
ie word files with varied fonts menu's and embedded company logo's when
I try to open these types of files on openoffice.org they come out as a
total mess with items placed all over the place.

I love Linux dont get me wrong but Office is still a killer app and
Linux still hasn't got this base covered fully yet. Users dont want
excuses they just want it to work in a manner they are used to, as of
yet this is just not happening without allot of prodding and
complaining. Im finding using Linux office software with Windows users a
real "PAIN" and if using codeweavers X-over with Office 2000 plugs the
hole and stops the complaining Im fine with that.Personaly I like emacs
or vim even Koffice on an off day but saying "hey word and excel works
fine" with Star Office or whatever just isn't the truth maybe in years
to come but just not right now.

Regards

Richard Neal
