I don't know about this particular system, but I've installed redhat 6.2 on a compaq proliant series machine with hardware raid5 (I think it was adaptec, but I'm not sure). It basically "just worked". Hardware raid should be completely transparent to the operating system, the only question is whether or not the kernel can talk to your specific scsi controller. Adaptec seem to be pretty well supported, so it should be fine. Find out what chip the controller uses and you'll be able to find out for sure.
