And another tip that springs to mind, lower the port speed on the serial port
to 57600 instead of 115200, since you say its a dialin modem, its never going
to get 56k connects, nor need the port speed of 115200. Plus As the previous
poster sent, it could cause problems on some emulated chips. So lower it down
and try it. You might it performs a little better or lots better.
