Thank you Jeff.

In terms of that distinction I was referring to the flat, distributed
 Open Source methodology, and alluding to some of the principles
associated with it, including the love of freedom evident in
ventures like samba. Open standards and affordable access are key
qualities for accountable, trusted community information systems but
 practical use must be supported within the community. So Open
Source systemic principles are also relevant, for example
principles like good humour and some of the heavy hitters like: the
principle of valuing the least and the greatest contributions, and
the principle of open access to practical training resources.
