Dear list,
I am a KDE user for a number of years but I decided to try Gnome2 on a new
install as I have not looked at it for about 18 months.
Using a small box P2 233 with 64M I installed Mandrake last night. Running
Mandrake first time I selected Gnome as my desktop.
It took about 10 mins to create an all blue sceen. No foot, no icons, no menu
bar or anything else. After trying every combination of key stokes I could
not do anything. I was forced to kill Xwindows to get back to normal.
Using IceWM or KDE everything works fine but Gnome is just a blue screen.
What am I doing wrong?
