You didn't try the BSOD theme, did you? (I'm pretty sure Mandrake didn't
ship it anyway. It's a completely blue theme used to test accessibility and
related bugs.) That's fairly unlikely.

Not sure what this would be. I haven't heard of anything similar to it, so
seeing it would probably help a bit. I'd have to say (and no offense to
Frederic), that GNOME 2.x as shipped in Mandrake 9 is not all that great.
That's not a great excuse, of course. ;-)

[ 9.0 seemed to be a very rushed release, almost suggesting that they wanted
to get 9.0 out before Red Hat 8.0 whatever the cost. :-( It's a real pity,
because 8.2 was very sweet. ]

If you manage to find out what behaviour causes it, I'd love to know.
