Unfortunately it doesn't do aliases, alt routes etc.

I know how to set up ifconfig and route to create aliases et al manually,
but what I need is a utility that does the RH specific bits so that it all
happens automagically at boot time.  Linuxconf did that nicely, but
netconfig goes nowhere down that path.
