All,

I've got a weird problem trying to print some photos from my Epson
Stylus 895 and the power of #slug [1] can't solve it....

I've installed and setup CUPS and Gimp-Print (according to
http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Epson-Stylus_Photo_895) and
printing works great. The only problem is that, when printing something dark (shadow,
that kind of thing), the color drops out and I'm left with pretty much a transparent
block.

Almost looks like the 'blue screen' affect in movies. Cool but very
strange.

I've tried different DPI's, different models for the filter, different
dither settings and other settings found in the admin panel for the
printer.

I'm a real graphics newbie and am just trying to print a few photos
out. Anyone got a cluebat they could hit me with?

TIA

Greeno
