I have used both of these. I havn't really looked into it in the last
couple of years, but back then one of these two would be your choice if
you wanted to be fairly confident of a secure mailer.

When I used Qmail I had had no previous expreience of any other UNIX
mta, so all its wierdness didn't really apply to me. Since then I have
been using postfix as a far easier dropin replacement for sendmail, as
the alias files etc take the same form, but you don't need to deal with
the nasty sendmail config format.

Personally I'd choose postfix, simply because it is so much more like
a traditional UNIX program. Qmail is done the Dan Bernstein way, and
while interesting, all the daemontools stuff is solving a problem that
doesn't really exist.
