Care to elucidate upon the non-GPL licensing restrictions?

Thanks

; G'day all...
;
; I'm wanting to set up a third network segment at work to use as a DMZ
and
; place the external mail server in it.
;
; I'm wondering what is the best (read simplest yet secure) solution -
; Postfix or Qmail as the MTA.
;
; Comments welcomed.

The GPL/debian fanatics are you going to tell you postfix is the better
choice because qmail has certain (sensible) redistribution
restrictions, but qmail is by far the better engineered product. See
http://cr.yp.to/maildisasters/postfix.html for some historical facts
regarding postfix. You get source and software from one of the best
programmers on the planet and the $500 security guarantee
(http://cr.yp.to/qmail/guarantee.html)

regards,
                 r.
