Errmmm, the source? Or #samba ? winbindd is fairly new, and whats not in
the man page is AWOL, AFAIK.

Sorry, none here - I've winbindd running happily at another site
w/squid, and no samba interference at all.

BTW: did you configure nsswitch ? if so, then try unconfiguring it -
squid doesn't need it, and it may be the cause of the samba behaviour.
