Hi Mathew, et al:

tool. Not certain how to do this under linux. See James notes for linux
version.

Louis> I'm, the same here. My master PC only has Windows 2000. I want to try
Linux 8.0 on this PC before I replace the slave PC RH 7.2 with this one. I'll
search from Windows help how to do this iso thing.

install cd's with me. I do know that it was done in text install mode.
You can get to this by typing "linux text" at the boot prompt when the
cd boots. I you can not see it there let me know and I will check it out.

Louis> I thought with this iso thing, we boot from the harddrive instead. Is
this correct ?

You are right though, after CD has booted there is an option to install via
text mode. I've never used it though.

BTW:
After having reading other replies from this, I will first clean my hard drive
and the CDs themselves and see what this does. Last resort will be this iso
thing.

Cheers

Louis.
