Louis> No need for that I went straight to /usr/local/bin
and removed the executables. RH 7.1 installed the files in the directory

/usr/bin/

Now I went ahead and did this from the ssh connection:

/usr/bin/vncserver

I opened the vncviewer locally, and entered the display it created
and it works now. Looks like I needed to use RH one instead
of some other one.

Like my local setup, vncviewer brings up the AfterStep X window
manager. I did that by modifying the "xstartup" to bring up
AfterStep.

What I need to know now is how do I make the vnc connection
secure via SSH. Anyone knows how to do this ? I remember reading
about this from a url on the web. I can't find that url anymore.
Anyway I did not really understand it properly.

Also do I need to install this x0rfbserver. I have downloaded it on the
live server
and can't even work our how to install this. The INSTALL file just
says type "make depend", then "make". "make depend" is already giving me
error
message "No rules for make" ?

Cheers

Louis.
