The problem is with just the top one I get (with "export DISPLAY=:0.0":
~# firestarter
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key
(firestarter:27682): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:
The bottom one I get:
Using authority file /root/.Xauthority
15 entries read in: 15 new, 0 replacements
Writing authority file /root/.Xauthority
~# firestarter
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key
(firestarter:27717): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:
Which looked more promising.
Is there some other permission somewhere?
