Is it actually possible to download ringtones and java apps from Linux to a nokia phone? Using usb or bluetooth? Has anyone actually done this?
It's surprisingly difficult to extract an answer out of the net. I've come across remarks that seem to imply that you have to phone your provider to get them or something. Best sites so far seem to be http://ncsp.forum.nokia.com/ http://www.microjava.com/ I want to own the phone, I don't want it to own me. Regards, Matt PS. I remember attending a slug talk on java development on linux for mobiles -- I tried to use the slug list search function but it has me completely baffled. (e.g. search the announce list for java comes up with 2 messages, one of which doesn't mention java at all) PPS. If you think this is better off on slug-chat feel free to bounce me there. -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
