I'm having a problem un-installing rpms and building from source.
Very hard to tell with no error messages in the e-mail.
But RPM under RH8 was a world of pain. Go to bugzilla.redhat.com, do a query, and find the latest working RPM code.
I have RH 8.0 installed and a few weeks ago did a force install and now I think I have screwed my rpm db, I have tried rebuilding it but I still get errors on building source and removing rpms.
You probably pressed Ctrl-C at some stage. That stuffs RPM good and proper in RH8. Again, the procedure to fix the corruption is in Red Hat's Bugzilla.
When this caught me I sent a rant to this mailing list, so have a look in the archive.
