Hi, I have a problem and I do not know if it relates to the BPA Login problem.
I am trying to get Mandrake Linux Security Firewall V9 working for Bigpond Dial Up Acc.
I log on and nothing happens, it sits there until I try to bring up a url for a couple of attempts then kicks me off.
Do I need DHCP server configured as in the info at linuxathome.net/bpalogin.php ----------For dial a up modem?
"Linux box + single desktop" ?
As far as I can determine everything is working, I can configure the firewall and it responds.
I have not configured routing as I do not have Cable or Adsl.
Another question is the "gateway" would this need to be configured as is same as machine IP - 192.168.0.1 - even in the example of what can go in the gateway IP block via help block?
Help files are a little thin and not being an expert on Linux, would like to get to know more on how to get around and do worthwhile things instead of having my head stuck in books not knowing the cause or solution.
Anyone live in the western side of Sydney?
Willing to travel with linux box for expert help to get it working.
I would appreciate your help,
