Unless you are a business, whether or not something contains GST isn't
really important. What you more likely want to know is:

        - can you complain this as a self-education deducation? yes.

        - do you need to have the receipt for this? no.

        You can claim both of these under the minor expenses provisions.

And if you really are a business, you still aren't obligated to have a 
Tax Invoice since the GST exclusive value of both is less than $50.
