Have you tried rebooting with the floppy in the drive? you may also need to make the BIOS boot off the floppy if that doesnt work and it just boots normally.
btw, if you really want to try out a modern linux distro without installing anything - check out knoppix. It boots off a cd and loads a much nicer system that redhat 6.2 :) If you want to come to hornsby, ill burn you a copy for free :) dave > Linux.
