I'm not even going to ask why you aren't using wvdial in this day and
age...

You might want to give out about the Linux for dummies with RH, but just
because configuring pppd directly was the only way 5 years ago doesn't
mean it should be used now ..

use a dialer, wvdial or RH or whatever, direct ppp configuration isn't a
good way to do things anymore..
