Ok, you can all stop thinking/searching/replying ;)........shoulda mentioned I was looking into samba sites at the time of sending my email .....anyway, figured it out. I was missing a small thing :( which prevented me from compiling "profiles" from source. After I discovered that, well all went smoothly......used profiles as documented and works like a dream.....

Hi all

I'm in the process of upgrading a network to samba3, and have a problem with the user registry file in the users profile directory ([EMAIL PROTECTED]@$ windows). It seems like the profiles utility as described on the main samba3 documentation pages is what I need, but I do not have it on my system? I used rpm's to upgrade so I'm guessing the profiles utility was not included in it (I've checked the src distribution and it's there). Anyone got it or know where to get it (binary) or a similar utility. Alternatively pointers on compiling just the profiles utility would also be appreciated.

TIA
Fil
