Hi All,
I have the great dilemma of trying to convert a pop3 based outlook (2002) email client to linux running either Thunderbird or evolution- the trouble is trying to bring across all the contacts and past emails.
Has anybody gone through this conversion before?? For some reason I can?t seem to convince thunderbird or evolution to
import CSV files- or any other outlook 2002 exported format.
I?m desperately hoping that this will be one of the last emails I have to write using this M$ junk.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Jasper

The link below tells you how to convert pst files to evolution format, you will need windows to do this though.

Lets hope you learn how to set your next Email Client not to send html emails.

I can't remember the original email format but I remember thinking it's that @#*&#$ outlook format again - the Rich Text or whatever name they call it. Outlook has 3 formats of email, plain text, html and rich text. Rich text is evident when an email arrives with a .dat attachment. To give Jasper his due, the option to turn off rich text is buried somewhere deep within the various outlook option screens - not only that I've found that different versions of outlook move the options around anyway so can be hard to find.
