I need to transfer a W2K HD to a new PC, totally different hardware,I've been told that removing all the mobo related drivers ( IDE , USB, PCI bridge) etc etc before swapping can help.
is there a way to do it short of re-installing W2K, or:
don't waste time, just reinstall afresh
all user data is on a different partition, so, fresh install is not really an issue, apart from time it takes
Might be worth a try if the old system is still going.
