The basic way to get a Debian woody machine connected via dialup is to run the pppconfig utility, answer all the questions as needed, then run 'pon' to get the machine dialling. I would have thought that the ComputerBank group who gave you the computer would have sorted that out when they gave you the machine. Can I ask who from ComputerBank gave you the machine?
