There may be some Knoppix beasties running around but in the end you
will need to get to an environment where you can do coding, the Knoppix
beasties will pretty much just give 'net access

Ahuh, it's also a code fest, so if you want to write a "Hello World" in
a thousand different languages, go for it!

I'm way behind on my email, I've definitely not read that thread yet.
The talks are going to happen when these four events match:

- the speaker is there
- there is a general grumbling for a talk
- the speaker isn't busy doing something more interesting
- the room is a available

I tried scheduling but as Mary said:
