A variation of this, perhaps?:

but instead of delivering to a mailbox, have procmail pipe the message
to the sms program.
BTW, if you want to support plussed addresses you need two rules in the
virtusertable, like this:
@sms.mydomain.com.au smsuser+%1
[EMAIL PROTECTED] smsuser+%1+%2
