I agree about the date thing.  In Perl it wouldn't take much to make it
accept a date in pretty much any format and reformat to what the DB
requires.  In the development version (2.3.4) there is a problem if you
don't put in a "to date" or "as at date" when trying to display an
Income Statement or a Balance Sheet, I think it should default to the
current date but doesn't; I don't know if that is the same in the stable
version.

I think repetitive tasks are in the "todo" list.
