You need the Hughes DirecPC linux drivers for their DVB card. I used BP one-way sat 
for 18 months
was never able to find linux drivers for the card. They are alleged to have existed at 
one time
but are not supported by Telstra and may not work in Telstra/Ericsson implementation 
of the Hughes
solution.

During my time using this method of access, I ran the card in a headless WIN95 box 
with Winroute
Pro (which allows you to tunnel the upstream path via any IP transport rather than 
having to have
a dial modem connected to the WIN95 box).

BP one-way SAT can be FAST (up to 4 Mbps) but has high latency for obvious reasons.
