was never able to find linux drivers for the card. They are alleged to have existed at one time
but are not supported by Telstra and may not work in Telstra/Ericsson implementation of the Hughes

During my time using this method of access, I ran the card in a headless WIN95 box with Winroute
Pro (which allows you to tunnel the upstream path via any IP transport rather than having to have
a dial modem connected to the WIN95 box).
BP one-way SAT can be FAST (up to 4 Mbps) but has high latency for obvious reasons.

I recall, before the days of widespread ADSL availability, that a company
called satnet {ihug?} ran a satellite service for which someone had made
available an "unofficial" linux client.
Does anyone know where to get this client? satnet.com.au doesn't seem to
exist anymore, and ihug.com.au doesn't seem to mention satellite
connections anywhere.
I have a friend who uses satellite via bigpuddle, and is getting really,
really peeved at having to run their winblows client just to connect to
the net. If I can find the satnet client, maybe he can fudge it to work
with bigpuddle.
Anyone got a link, or got the client {and source?} and be willing to share
it?
