I've been using Kaudiocreator to rip CD tracks and then playing them in Juk (Lorma Linux/Fedora Core 2).

Couldn't rip tracks from a couple of CD's and by viewing file list discovered that all were .cda files.

Couldn't find any way to rip them under linux so used dbpower amp music convertor under Win XP to rip and convert tracks to ogg vorbis, then copied files to my /home directory, changed ownership/permissions and tried to play them in Juk.

IJuk locks up and I eventually get a "cpu overload" message, whereby I have to kill Juk.

1) how can I rip .cda tracks to ogg vorbis under linux, and
2) what is causing Juk to crash?

Thanks

Bill
