Thanks to James and James.
Unfortunately the cdaudio:/ command didn't work, but I've solved the problem, which undoubtedly also affected Konqueror.
I tried ripping the 2 CD's in question in another of my PC's, using Win XP and dbpoweramp and I had no problems, so I'm guessing that the DVDRom in the 1st PC doesn't like those 2 particular CD's for some reason.
