Actually, it's from the article on LinuxGazette at the other end of the link in the original msg. Nevertheless, I do agree - PDF does not always preserve formatting, although it's a darn site better than other document formats, and the reader is chunky and getting chunkier. It is also somewhat of a "standard" unfortunately....
