pc, anyway?
Same as for an entire network - as I said before - the "exposed" machine
has minimal stuff on it, might be harder to "own" due to lack of many
unnecessary tools, easier to re-install, easier to track for changes,
your "real" stuff is on a separate machine which also have to be
cracked.
